The Zero Waste Program is based on the principles of a regenerative and circular economy. The program supports the implementation of the Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 that mandates management of waste through resource recovery.
The services are aligned to the needs of Bulk Waste Generators (BWGs) including facility management companies, the hospitality sector, industrial townships, corporate campuses, institutions and residences. Through this engagement, our customers demonstrate responsible waste management and conscious consumption. This in turn fits into their own internal policies including the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) frameworks.
We provide end-to-end waste management solutions which are both on-site and off-site. Our range of services include setting up the system and more importantly implementation/operations
Our on-site model is designed to implement an integrated recycling waste management system for efficiently handling food and dry waste streams from all types of bulk waste generators.
Our off-site model ensures the regular collection of food and dry waste. Food waste is sent directly to a partner Biomethanation facility, while dry waste is transported to either Saahas Zero Waste's Material Recovery Facility (MRF) or a partner MRF for further processing.
Both models are supported by rigorous Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that ensure proper segregation at source, the collection of segregated waste, and adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards through training and monitoring.
We provide waste management solutions like audits, segregation, composting, bio-methanation, dry waste sorting, and reporting. This helps attract tenants and promote responsibility.
Saahas Zero Waste helps brands comply with waste regulations like SWM Rules (2016), Plastic Waste Management Rules, and EPR. Services include food, horticultural waste processing, and resource recovery.
Townships must comply with Solid Waste Management Rules (2016). SZW has helped implement waste systems, including source segregation, waste collection, and integrated food and dry waste facilities.
Saahas Zero Waste works with educational institutions, offering waste audits, system design, setup, and operation for various waste types. Through data-driven reporting, we ensure compliance with waste rules.
SZW partners with leading Property Consultants & Facility Managers to provide waste management services, helping builders and tenants achieve ESG and sustainability goals.

Success stories from businesses like yours
The MSW rules 2016 recognises Bulk Waste Generators and mandates the independent management of waste from these facilities. An estimated 40% of a city’s waste is generated by Bulk Waste generators. Our Programme would enable this large volume of waste to move through a system which will result in not just landfill diversion but also maximum resource recovery. Leading from the front in this manner would also ensure that the rest of the city follows the best practices demonstrated through responsible waste management The programme is especially relevent for smaller towns and cities which do not have adequate waste management infrastructure. Manufacturing companies and townships should therefore adopt ZWP and ensure that their waste does not add to the burden of the rest of the city
Employees, students , households are an integral part of waste generated by BWGs.Our ZWP system makes these individuals conscious of their environmental footprint and introduces them to best practices which they are expected to expand to their friends and family network
ZWP fits into all the waste management regulations. It dissuades the use of any single use paper and plastic product. It aligns to the Plastic Waste Management Rules and Swachh Bharat Mission that promotes waste reduction and responsibility for product life cycles.
Investors are increasingly prioritizing ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) factors, driving businesses to implement sustainable waste management practices to attract funding and enhance long-term profitability.
Zero Waste reduces emissions, and landfill use, conserves resources, and promotes a healthier ecosystem
Our ZWP programme is extremely operations intensive. There is a need to operate composting and bio-gas facilities, sorting of dry waste and providing logistics. This requires both field staff and qualified professionals
Our staff and employees work with fair wages and social security. There is also attention to health and safe working conditions
Governments can support with implementation of the regulations and public awareness campaigns.
