    11 Facts of Saahas Zero Waste

    • We are an environmental and social enterprise with 10 years of experience in waste management, resource recovery and social impact.
    • Saahas Zero Waste was registered as a Pvt Ltd Company in 2013. We are grateful for all the learning from our mother organisation, NGO Saahas that was established in 2001
    • The founder of NGO Saahas and SZW, Wilma Rodrigues, was a journalist who actively advocated the importance of holistic management of waste.
    • State Bank of India, previously worked with NGO Saahas and subsequently became our first customer.
    • We have 3 business verticals- The Zero Waste Programme, Extended Producer Responsibility and Circle Up.
    •  With the expansion of our clientele and scope of our operations, we introduced our first Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Bangalore in 2017.

We meticulously process, track, and manage over 100+ Metric Tons of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) daily. Our nationwide Zero Waste Program for bulk generators emphasizes waste reduction and segregation at the source, followed by efficient collection, sorting, and recycling of various waste types. This system is driven by stringent compliance standards and bolstered by comprehensive data management.

Value added service with over 11 years experience

Saahas Zero Waste provides Bulk Waste Generators (BWGs) with comprehensive services like waste audits, on and offsite processing, and specialized C&D waste management. We offer EPR compliance for plastic and e-waste, certification, third-party validation, and support a closed-loop system with upcycled and recycled products.

Saahas Zero Waste is certified with IMS for Quality, Environmental, and Safety. Our ISO 9001:2015 certification reflects our commitment to operational excellence, ISO 14001:2015 focuses on reducing environmental impact, and ISO 45001:2018 ensures workforce safety, training, and well-being.
